Year end wrap-up in 3…2…

If you asked me on January 1, 2011 how I’d predict this year to go, my answer would have probably been something semi-emo, bleeding with sarcasm, with hopes of “it has to be better than 2010…right?”. Ask me today and my answer is -

This year has been fantastic!

How can a year that brought me a job(finally!), one at home in NYC at that, an apartment of my very own, the birth of my BEAUTIFUL godson, memorable trips to Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, CMJ, Miami, a Tennessee Vols game, and Las Vegas, 34 pound weight loss, the recent announcement that my bro and sis-in-law are expecting, and my grandma’s 82nd birthday on New Year’s Eve, be considered awful? It can’t.

Although I despise my job for it’s stagnant, useless, unchallenging existence, it is the reason for some of those great things above. This year I’m inspired. Hopefully that will assist in finding a more rewarding position, preferably in media or music so I can be doing something I love and can create a future in. Although I have the world’s craziest neighbor living below me, my apartment is comfy and shaping up to be exactly what I envisioned ito to be and it’s all mine; I love it.

This year will be about self-discovery and renewal. I will continue to love being a :: cough cough :: late-20s, single gal exploring what life has to offer and reconnecting with the city I love. I wish you - my dear Tumblr loves, my family and friends, happiness and health and let’s grab 2012 by the nalgas!
